How to Install LionTV on Amazon Fire TV Stick

The Amazon Fire TV Stick runs a version of Android, which means you can install LionTV on it and watch live TV, sports and movies on any TV with an HDMI port. LionTV isn't in the Amazon Appstore, so you install it by sideloading — it's easy, and this guide walks you through every step.

Before you start

You'll need your Fire Stick set up and connected to the internet, and your LionTV login details (server address, username and password) ready — see how to sign in to LionTV.

Step 1 — Allow apps from unknown sources

On your Fire Stick, go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer options and turn on Install unknown apps (or "Apps from Unknown Sources") for the app you'll use to download. This lets the Fire Stick install LionTV.

Step 2 — Install the Downloader app

From the Fire Stick home screen, search for the Downloader app in the Amazon Appstore and install it. Downloader lets you fetch the LionTV app file.

Step 3 — Enter the LionTV download code

Step 4 — Install and open

When the download finishes, select Install. Once it's done, open LionTV (you can delete the downloaded file to save space when prompted).

Step 5 — Sign in and watch

Enter your server address, username and password — no activation code needed — and the channel list loads. You're watching live TV, sports and movies on your Fire Stick.

Troubleshooting

• "App from unknown source blocked": revisit Step 1 and make sure Downloader is allowed.
• Download won't start: check the code/link and your internet connection.
• App runs slowly: older Fire Sticks have limited memory — close other apps, and see our slowdown fixes.
